Course Description

This is a beginning course on installation of internal and peripheral hardware devices. The course will include lecture, discussion and hands-on practice with hardware installation in desktop computers. We will work with demo computers in the classroom to learn the skills we need to install hardware on our computers at home. Students are encouraged to get an old computer that they can use for hardware installation practice at home in betweeen classes. Knowledge of computer hardware installation will help you to save money when upgrading your computer and to be better prepared to solve problems whenever your computer malfunctions.
