Digital Images Introduction

Prerequisite

Computer Introduction 1 and Computer Introduction 2 classes, OR basic computer skills using Windows.

Course Description

This course will cover the basics of document scanning and digital photography. Printed text, drawings, photographs, slides and negatives will be scanned to produce digital files. Students will learn the basics of photo composition and editing of digital photos. Students will design and produce individual custom photo projects. Students should bring their own printed materials and photos for scanning, and their own digital or film camera for use in class projects. Here are some examples of digital photos that I have taken recently (Camping & Hiking at Death Valley National Park 2005).
