Digital Slideshows

Prerequisite

Computer Introduction 1 and Computer Introduction 2 classes or basic computer skills using Windows.

Course Description

Students will produce digital slideshows that can be displayed via computer, digital projector or home television. We will use MS PowerPoint software to create dynamic, computer-based presentations for home or business use. Other softwares will be used to make digital slideshows that you can play using a DVD player and a home television. Topics will include a) creating and editing slides, b) working with slide designs and layouts, c) incorporating pictures, sounds, and movies into presentations , d) preparing handouts and notesheets to use during presentations and e) communication skills needed to make effective presentations.

• Business and Educational Users need to know how to use MS PowerPoint software for making business or classroom presentations.
  
• Hobbyists and Home Users need to know how to display pictures from their digital cameras via the DVD players connected to their home televisions.
