Golden Canyon is a little canyon in the east wall of Death Valley just a few miles south of Furnace Ck Campground (topo map). The golden rocks that characterize this canyon were produced from muddy sediments deposited at the bottom of a lake.

The Red Cathedral is at the top end of Golden Canyon.
When I got to Red Cathedral I found "Bhudda Jim"
