Wednesday. We returned to White River Campground and hiked the Glacier Basin trail, then photographed Mt Ranier in the morning sunlight. At Ohanapecosh we hiked Grove of the Patriarchs and Silver Falls Trails. Box Canyon of the Muddy Fork is an amazing crack in the rock - 10' wide and 50' deep with a river knawing at its bottom. Reflection Lakes give a double view of Mt Ranier. At Paradise we hiked the Nisqually Vista trail past incredible meadows of wildflowers out to the view of Nisqually Glacier melting to form the silty Nisqually River. Then we drove to Narada Falls on the sparkly clear Paradise River and saw the Nisqually River again at lower elevation. We drove south to the town of Castle Rock, WA.
